YUK YUK’S GREAT CANADIAN LAUGH OFF
CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. TO ENTER YUK YUK’S GREAT CANADIAN LAUGH OFF (the “Contest”) simply visit the web site located at www.yukyukslaughoff.com, or follow the contest link from www.yukyuks.com, click on the Contest page and complete the on-line entry form by following the instructions found at the site. All entries must include your name, address, age, ten digit day and evening telephone numbers and a verifiable e-mail address, as applicable. Limit of one entry per individual per household. Entries received on-line shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Illegible entries, bulk drop-offs, mechanical reproductions or facsimile entries are ineligible. Contest starts at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 8th, 2010 entries must be received by 12:00:0 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on February 21st 2010 (the “Contest Period”). There is (1) grand prize. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

2. The Contest is not open to residents of the Province of Quebec.

3. All contestants who appear on the taped finals must wait three (3) years in order to compete again.

4. To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Performances must be conducted in the English language and consist of stand-up comedy. Mimes, ventriloquists and jugglers are ineligible to enter. Prize sponsors, promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter. All Judges will be independent.

5. "CTV Television Inc., ("CTV") and its parent, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees are in no manner acting as a Contest sponsor. By entering this Contest entrants expressly understand, acknowledge and agree that such entities and persons will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this contest or any prize awarded. CTV is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the rules, the selection and announcement of winner, or the distribution or redemption of any Prize. CTV and its parent, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize, (ii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iii) are not liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use of any prize, travel related thereto or from participation in this Contest."

6. Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize consisting of $25,000.00 Canadian Currency as chosen by the Contest Judge(s). Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion(s) are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals, beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind. All other Contestants and his/her traveling companion(s) are also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Contest Venue as the Grand Prize Originates and terminates there. It is the sole responsibility of the Contestants to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas if applicable and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements. Contestants must be able to travel at the times and dates necessary and determined by the by the Contest Producer(s) in its/their sole discretion. The Contest Producers may cover the cost of the hotel and provide a small per diem for all semi-finalists from the date they are selected as semi-finalists. Contestants making the final 64 who are allotted a hotel stay are responsible for incidental charges beyond room and tax. They must produce a credit card upon check in to cover these incidentals and/or damages.

7. Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded. The Prize(s) may not be sold or transferred. Contest Producers(s) reserve(s) the right to substitute the Prize(s) in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize(s) is/are unavailable.

8. On or after Febuary 22, 2010, contestants will be randomly selected by computer draw. Before being awarded a Prize, potential winner will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Producer(s), a full release, union waiver and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Producer(s) to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, performance, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, program broadcast, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the potential winner and/or traveling companion(s), beyond the awarding of or participation in the Prize, accepts the Prize as offered and releases the Contest Producer(s) from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. In the event that the potential winner as applicable, does not comply with all the provisions as contemplated in these Rules, Contest Producer(s) shall have the right to disqualify potential winner, and select an alternate potential winner and/or traveling companion(s) and the Contest Producer(s) shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.

9. By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Producer(s) with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest.

10. All entries become the property of Yuk Yuk’s TV who assume no responsibility for garbled, inaudible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting the name of the Prize winner (for which a self-addressed, postage paid envelope must be included). Producer(s) do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunction, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Producer(s), in its/their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its/their control, Producer(s) reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find(s) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Producer(s) in their sole discretion, further reserve their right to terminate the on-line portion, as applicable. Any attempts to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Producer(s) reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Producer(s) shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest web site, where applicable.

11. Contest is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identifies as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Producer(s) for the purposes of implementing, broadcasting, administering and fulfilling this contest.
